What we do with what you tell us.

The short version

What you tell us stays with the volunteers who need to know it, for as long as it takes to help you, and then it goes. We don't sell anything, share anything, or discuss your situation with anyone outside the group.

What we collect

Only what you type into a form or tell us on the phone: your name, a way to reach you, what you need, and anything you choose to add. We never ask for a social insurance number, immigration status, bank statements or proof of anything.

Who sees it

The volunteer who speaks with you. Where a decision needs a second opinion, one other volunteer sees it too. Everyone in those roles has agreed in writing not to discuss it outside the group, including with their own families and including anonymously.

How long we keep it

A request is kept while it is open, and for as long afterwards as it takes to finish any repayment, so that we can pick a conversation up where it left off. Then it is deleted. Financial records are kept for as long as the law requires and no longer. Ask us to delete your information sooner and we will, that day, except where the law says otherwise.

This website

No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics and no cookies set by us. The site is hosted by Vercel, who keep standard server logs.

Donations reach us by email transfer, straight to the address on the contact page. There is no card processor in the path and no card details for anyone to see.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to moms4momscalgary@gmail.com and one of us will deal with it personally.

Stories

Nothing about you is ever published without your explicit permission, and we will read it back to you before it goes anywhere. You can withdraw that permission at any point and we will take it down the same day, no questions asked.
